BFP (big fat positive) is a term used in pregnancy to describe a pregnancy test result that indicates a positive pregnancy. This result occurs when the pregnancy test detects the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced by the body after implantation of a fertilized egg. A BFP is often a sign of a successful pregnancy; however, further confirmation through a healthcare professional is recommended to ensure accuracy.
